The View community is experiencing a growing sense of
neighborliness as a result of the Mesquite Heat fire that burned
over 11,000 acres and destroyed many homes in our community.
The View church family is excited to provide the community a
gathering place for our entire area. Five View Community Service
Terms meet monthly at the church to pray, plan, and respond to a
wide range of community needs.
With the leadership of our new pastor, Burtis Williams, our church
ministry is focusing on the following:
1. Intercessory prayer as the foundation by which we discern God’s
guidance. Specifically, with clean hands and our hearts, we seek
to be aligned with God that His will in heaven can flow through us
and extend to our community. A weekly day of intercessory prayer
is a part of implementing our vision.
2. A practical expression of Jesus' command to love our neighbor
as we love ourselves is the centerpiece of our ministry to the
community, using the Good Samaritan model of Luke 10:25-37.
3. We are committed to providing the very best Bible study and
worship experience possible for our church family and our guests.
Both in person and by internet.
4. We gratefully join thousands of other churches in generous
support for sharing the gospel around the world. Per capita, our
church is near the top in America in missions support.
5. We are deeply committed to being "salt" (preserving spiritual
and moral purity and enhancing the quality of life in our
community) and "light" (showing the way to the best possible life
on earth and eternity with God).
